I am Idoia Marqués Iturria, PhD in Psychology with a specialisation in high abilities.
After a career in several European cities related to psychology, neurosciences and education, I have established my own psychology practice in Donostia, where I integrate my learning and experiences to offer a psychology service specialised in High Intellectual Ability (HIA).
I have a strong commitment to the community of people with HIA and neurodivergences in general, and my aim is to promote their naturalisation and the full well-being of each person.
I consider it necessary to promote environments where people are valued and nurtured as they are, taking into account neurodiversity.
My working methods
I work through collaborative and trusting relationships, following a model based on active participation and promotion of personal autonomy.
I consider psychoeducation as a basis for empowerment, encouraging the promotion of knowledge and resources that allow people with HIA to make informed decisions and build their own path.
I understand awareness as an evolutionary engine and encourage the promotion of personal growth through personal reflection.
I base my work on the scientific knowledge available, always from a critical perspective and with constant updating. I incorporate advances and proven methodologies to offer a coherent and quality service, with the search for excellence as the driving force for continuous improvement.
